Angela Dodson, director at the Johnny Cash Museum in Nashville said, Gray has the look most fans identify with Cash from 1955 - 1970. All of his number ones came during this era.
Rick Rubin recruited Johnny Cash to record Cash's own unique versions of rock songs written after the 1970s. Hurt was a Nine Inch Nails cover that got the most attention from younger audiences in the late 90s.
About Gray: Gray started performing at the age of five by appearing in a Chevrolet commercial. At the age of ten, he started playing guitar. At twelve, he was a runner up in a comedy contest. At nineteen, he won a stand-up comedy contest. At twenty four, he played in a touring southern gospel group as a guitar player and harmony vocalist. From 2000 to 2011, he played as a solo singer/guitarist around the Atlanta area, playing well over 500 shows. In 2011, Gray created a show called Johnny Cash Now, that included material from Johnny’s early and late career. In 2018, he also started performing a tribute to Waylon Jennings. In 2021, he created a (Highwaymen Show) tribute that included Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson. From November 2021 to January 2022, Gray performed in a theatrical production of (Johnny and June, a Concert Tribute to Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash). In 2022, Gray started working both inside and outside the United States with a show called (Presley, Perkins, Lewis and Cash), that includes tributes to Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash. Gray also holds both a bachelors and masters degree in education.
With over 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Gray has performed at a variety of events, from theaters to casinos. Gray's versatile skills, dynamic personality and comedic timing make for a memorable and entertaining performance.
Gray offers three distinctly different shows, including

Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson.
